I'm fully with you on your crusade again...Dog,

I'm fully with you on your crusade against charlatans and fundamentalists, however I don't think any of the supposed contradictory scriptures you cited help your argument in the "all or none" criticism. Nor do I think James and Paul are contradictory regarding "works of the law". All of these seemingly contradictory scriptures have different audiences, different subject matter being addressed, and different languages being used in making their points. A superficial reading of each of them will certainly yield an easy charge that they are contradictory and therefore you can't believe "all" scripture if that were the case. A careful study of the original words, meanings, and context will show that these verses cannot be used to make that claim. Don't know whether you would agree or disagree with that, just wanted to point it out.Daniel G.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8384632623933772727.post-27591935665985546792015-09-15T08:04:00.179-04:002015-09-15T08:04:00.179-04:00Chris, the agenda has been stated over and over. Also, you removed all verses from all types of context (passage, book, historical, grammatical...) yet give the reader nothing but a few verses strung together in order to make a point. I asked your point? I don't want to assume your agenda, but you are insincere to state you have not one, i.e.:"I'm not persuading..."
Chris Gilliamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03765218586483783054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8384632623933772727.post-19679880438485800982015-09-15T07:20:13.780-04:002015-09-15T07:20:13.780-04:00Watchdog, I do the same on my site.
Here is the d...Watchdog, I do the same on my site.
Here is the deal. Folks, he is trying to get you to think for yourselves. The Bible is difficult to work through. James and the boys had a a version of theology they believed and Paul and his followers had a version. James was still stuck on OT laws. Paul, on grace. ( Why James was included in the Bible, I do not know? Maybe because he was Jesus' s brother?)
Read Galatians and Ephesians..... And then read them again......And read them a third time.....If it doesn't become clear, read again, with an open mind and in prayer......The Govteachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07705560819973282422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8384632623933772727.post-14693618071017122812015-09-14T21:04:25.545-04:002015-09-14T21:04:25.545-04:00I'm not persuading anyone of anything.
