Below is one of my all-time favorite Monty Python skits, "Four Yorkshiremen". Its basically four rich men sitting around one-upping each other on how tough they used to have it growing up.
Given recent events at Liberty University and their seminary president, I think it appropriate to watch these four guys "embellish" their past, as they get more and more absurd, to the absolute extreme.
You have to see it. Enjoy!

The Holy Grail mocked the Crusades and the witch trials-both of which were not God honoring and an embarrassment to our Christian heritage. Sometimes, we Christians deserve to be mocked.
Also, why do you think this is a copyright violation? Many things have been placed on you tube that allow for free usage. Did you check this out before making your comment.

You might as well get your titles right, and maybe some background on the movies that the Pythons made. Your comments make you appear like so many other Christians who refuse to educate themselves on the prevailing culture... and have no credibility when they try to tear it down
There isn't any "Kevin" film. At all.
"Monty Python and the Holy Grail" was more about mocking the legends of King Arthur than mocking our Lord.
"Monty Python's Life of Brian"...
a more difficult call to make even though Christ himself isn't mocked. (There is a scene of the Sermon on the Mount that the main character, Brian, attends. Christ is played without satire.) In fact, the Pythons found nothing to mock in Christ or his teachings.
In any case, if you're going to make comments like the ones you made, you should at least know what you're talking about. Otherwise, you can make no intelligent point at all.

The history of the official "church" is mocking God in REALITY. Ever read it? From Constantine to the Puritans who landed here...it is one big bloody man centered cruel mess.
Since these guys are British, go read the history of the official church in Britain. Wars, tortures, beheadings, divine right of Kings, intrigues...on both sides...Papist and Reformed.
There has always been a tiny persecuted minority who refused to be a part of the "official" phoney church. (But you have to dig to learn about them. They were not in a position to be published much)
That is a lesson for us today.
lol this video is hilarious! Kind of like the SNL skit with Kristen Wiig where she one-ups everyone! This does relate to recent events. So many pastors and church leaders are out there trying to make more money by making up or exaggerating their live stories and testimonies. They will be found out.

A little-known fact about "The Four Yorkshiremen" is that it did not begin its life as a Monty Python sketch. It actually was first performed on a one-off TV show in 1967, and the Four Yorkshiremen were John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Tim Brooke Taylor and Marty Feldman. The sketch satirises the martyrdom tendency in a lot of people, and also satirises the "bygone age" phenomenon, which I heard all of the time from older folks when growing up.
