News Flash: Jeffress Declares Obama is NOT the Anti-Christ, As His Poll Numbers are a Bit Too Low

"I want you to hear me tonight, I am not saying that President Obama is the Antichrist, I am not saying that at all. One reason I know he's not the Antichrist is the Antichrist is going to have much higher poll numbers when he comes. President Obama is not the Antichrist."
------------------------------

Wow, that was close. I thought for a minute there, after the election, that Barack Obama was the Anti-Christ.

But thanks to Robert Jeffress, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, I slept easier last night knowing the Southern Baptists have determined:

Barack Hussein Obama, is NOT the Anti-Christ.

How has he made his determination? He doesn't say exactly, but says "one of the reasons" is that "the Antichrist is going to have much higher poll numbers when he comes."

I love how the fundamentalist Baptist mindset works: let's start with the assumption he might be the Anti-Christ. Then look at his poll numbers.

He goes on to say Obama is just "paving the way" for the Anti-Christ, you know, like "John the Baptist" for the Anti-Christ.

Watch it for yourself:

In all fairness, let me say to my readers:  Robert Jeffress is NOT the Anti-Christ. I am not saying he is the Anti-Christ at all. However, his leadership of at FBC Dallas in convincing the members to spend $120 million on a glamorous new church and fountain while our country suffers economically - he is just paving the way for the gullible sheep to follow the Anti-Christ.

    Amen, Amen, Amen.

WD, this is the HEART of the corruption taking place in The Body. Well said.

  3. Don't agree with Robert Jeffress, but I do not think he is a fundamentalist . Part of the SBC but not a Fundamentalist.

  4. I agree with Anonymous.

Jeffress, like most of the SBC Mega-Church pastors, is an opportunist for whom fundamentalist rhetoric serves his purpose.

  5. Wheeew!!

Now I know not to read the Word, just listen to old Bob!!

He had nothing to teach my kids when they were 3 yrs old much less now that they are all older teens and early 20s-unfortunately, men like him are the norm for SBC Life and yes I am an SBC pastor : )

  7. God himself spent millions on a Temple.

Why don't you hate on God about His building programs

Please stop throwing mud, you are getting very nasty.

You probably can't see it though with that big splinter in your eye.

  8. The SBC is divided between the Calvinists and fundamentalists. Jeffress is a fundamentalist.

This "Antichrist" insanity just shows the absurdity of Dispensationalism, which SBC fundamentalists like Jeffress hold to.

  9. Back in the Republican Primary, Jeffress promised God's judgment if Romney won the nomination and won the national election. This year, he changed his mind and warned that Romney was OK, but God was going to judge America if Obama won the election. He seems to forget that he has also forecasted God's judgment if American Wicca Servicemen continue to worship on American military bases.

This guy has about as much credibility as a tv psychic.

  10. If you have not done so, please study the teachings of the Mormons. One of the best is "Mormonism" by Dr. Walter Martin, published by Bethany House. These beliefs are anti-Christ and certainly are some of the most repugnant, especially those concerning our Savior. They are appalling.

On the other hand, in answer to the following question in the January, 2008, edition of "Christianity Today," Obama said:
Q: You've talked about your experience walking down the aisle at Trinity United Church of Christ, and kneeling beneath the cross, having your sins redeemed, and submitting to God's will. Would you describe that as a conversion? Do you consider yourself born again?

A: "I am a Christian, and I am a devout Christian. I believe in the redemptive death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I believe that that faith gives me a path to be cleansed of sin and have eternal life..."

In a speech in 2007, Obama also said, "I learned that those things I was too weak to accomplish myself, He would accomplish with me if I placed my trust in Him. And in time, I came to see faith as more than just a comfort to the weary or a hedge against death, but rather as an active, palpable agent in the world and in my own life...I felt I heard God's spirit beckoning me. I submitted myself to His will, and dedicated myself to discovering His truth and carrying out His works."

I would remind Pastor Jeffress that 1 Corinthians 12:3b says, " and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit."

Could Mitt Romney speak the above words in the light (darkness?) of his false, anti-Christ religion?

    ReplyDelete
  11. What he had to say was fantastic!

I love listening to him because he speaks nothing but the truth.

    Obama is NOT the anti-christ.

The anti-christ will be about tearing down Churches, tearing down Pastors, tearing down the ministries that are reaching the masses.

The anti-christ will use the internet and blogs to wage a campaign of lies and half truths against God's men.

The anti-christ will use a lot of the tactics that Watchdog is using.

    So who is the anti-christ???

    ReplyDelete
  12. Thanks, troll, you just made my day!!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Reaching the masses as a recent writer here (11:10 am) wrote?

Every report says that the numbers of those calling themselves Christians is fewer every year, especially amongst those under 40.

The fact is the message is received and, immediately, rejected. Reach out all you want with whatever means you use, but the result will be in line with what facts show.

No one ("the masses" whomever they are - must include myself perhaps) cares about this matter.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Go to Celebration Church in the morning and see all those under 40.

Thousands of them and it is growing every week.

You do not reach this generation with 200 year old songs and a piano and an organ.

Lights, haze, lazers, hd plasma screens with cutting edge music and teaching will turn this country around.

It's happening at Celebration and the Spirit is moving and the new wine is flowing.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I was a member of Celebration at the beginning, and if you think that haze, lights and circus rings will result in change, well let's see, You mistake show for substance. You missed the (my) point however. The overall facts are that church attendance and identification are on the wane for most under 40. You may want to refer to the tendency of many in the last election cycle to refute, refuse facts and math so that you can come to and verify your own conclusion - that was and is erroneous.

As far as Celebration is concerned, the message is a mile wide and one centimeter deep or shallow.

The Spirit is moving, has always moved and is no respecter of show or glitz. So sad you mis understand the Spirit.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I went to Celebration Church today and it was a glorified rock show.

Where is the reverence, the respect for the past and where are the clothes.

Half the people that came barely wore any clothes.

    Good Lord, cover up!

  18. Some Young Turk spaketh: "You do not reach this generation with 200 year old songs and a piano and an organ."

Really now? So what makes your 2,000 year old gospel relevant for today's people? If 200 year old music is passe', what about all those old stories in the bible, way older than that?

Does the age of something somehow determine its relevance? Your self righteous ire is really an embarrassment on you. Go listen to your Jesus junk, it sounds a lot like my rock station stuff.

  20. Jeffress is quite gifted in calculating his controversial comments to land him appearances on the cable news circuit. It is never by accident. Ever. And they bite on it every time.

Then his members light up facebook touting his "boldness" and posting links to the appearances.

Sadly, this is true. SBC Pastoes need to recover the Gospel. If you want to know what people are leaving the church, the answer is that the Gospel is being treated trivially, and tritely.

It is growing because bigots like you held it back with old fashioned choir robes, hymnals, and responsive reading.

It is not this blog or the blogger here that is tearing down the church, it is the pastors that preach falsehoods and take the money that should be going to help the poor, the hungry, and the stranger in our land, and then use that money to buy or build mansions on earth. They will not have one in heaven, that is for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Do you realize that we are not given the chance to vote for legitimate leaders anymore? We are given a choice of gangster A or gangster B. Presidential candidates are pre-selected at Bilderberg meetings, so no matter who wins the election, the Globalists have their puppet in power to do their evil work. We were given the choice of Skull and Bones Obama, or Skull and Bones Romney. Either way the Globalists win.
The bankers are counting on us going over the fiscal cliff. They want a collapse to happen. Because in the ruins, there will rise up a New World Order the likes we have never seen before. With each false flag terror attack, the New World Order gains new ground over everyday common people who have their heads buried in the sand, loving football more than THE TRUTH. Go back to sleep America, the Police State is not done yet. If you ask someone what year the 911-attacks happened, they don't know. But they all know the latest filthy movie out of Hollywood. They all know about pop culture. Most of them can't even name the 5-parts of the First Amendment.

THE TRUTH means nothing to people these days. This is why the Antichrist will succeed (2nd Thessalonians 2:10). The greatest thing you can do to fight the New World Order is to love THE TRUTH! Study, research, seek out, distribute, preach and cherish THE TRUTH. This is why Jesus commanded for us in John 5:39 to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES! God's Word is truth (John 17:17). Why do you think the Bible was banned from Public School in 1963? It's so that children wouldn't have THE TRUTH. And now look at the morally-toxic society we survive in today in the U.S.

After murdering 50,000,000 American babies by abortion, we now have 50,000,000 illegal foreigners coming into our country to make up the missing workforce. Unfortunately, they are so poor that they're also eating with our food stamps, saturating our hurting schools with non-English-speaking students, living in free Section-8 housing, are getting promoted over citizen's kids because of racial profiling, are bankrupting our hospitals and then blame American citizens for all their problems.

So what we have here are foreigners illegally sneaking into America without any honor, milking the system to rob legitimate hard working American citizens via welfare payouts, committing one-third of all crimes in the U.S., and then blaming America's citizens for their homeland's problems. Talk about ungrateful. I'm tired of hearing paid off stooges like Sean Hannity say that Americans won't do the work which illegals are willing to do. The truth of the matter is that American citizens can't survive on $2 an hour. We do you think 10-20 illegals pile together in rented apartments? That's the only way they can survive. And what do they do with the rest of the money, they buy booze, booze and more booze. Not all of them; but a majority of the Hispanic immigrants in America that I've seen are drunks. We have lost our country. There is no border. No language. No honor. No culture. No class. No morals. No economy. No jobs. No government. Sad!

It's quite a paradox when one considers that in "The Land Of The Free," the United States incarcerates more of it's citizens than any other nation in the world. With only 5% of the world's population in the U.S., our prisons contain 25% of the world's inmates. Think about that.

Like Tarzan told Jane its a jungle out there.I blame the preachers of America. They have too long kept quite and all hell has taken over. The organized church that meets in buildings is basically a joke. They are mostly interested in social gatherings and marketing of their business. The local pastor has no real impact on society since most are interested in their careers and how much money and time off they can secure in their contracts. No wonder Jesus wishes they were either hot or cold as they are neither since He classifys them as lukewarm. Sad indeed. Tom keep up the fight since you are still in the battle. The gates of Hell cannot hurt the real bride of Christ. Stay focused and you will benefit for your efforts.Truth is always the best impact on a age of ignorance.

  43. The the entire public school system is of the Devil! Humanism is of the Devil. Humanism is an insane form of human thinking that invades the human mind, convincing it of it's superiority over God and His Word. It is humanistic reasoning that banned teacher-led prayer and Bible reading in the first place.

The public school system teaches the religion of Humanism, i.e., man is his own god. In sharp contrast, the Bible says we are to trust in the Lord (Proverbs 3:5-6).

The Bible teaches that humanity is sinful, prone to evil and self-destruction. History itself proves this. Look at all the hundreds-of-millions of people who have been killed over the centuries in bloody wars.

Yet, you can hear these Godless fools today still taking about how education is going to make this world a better place to live. Garbage! Some of the craziest sickos on this planet are rich educated people. The solution is not reformation, nor rehabilitation, nor education; but rather, regeneration by the Spirit of God. Jesus said “ye must be born-again” (John 3:5).

Research the days of the Russian Gulags (1920-1950) where an estimated 60,000,000 people were killed in slave labor death camps. Do you think it couldn't happen here in America? It will eventually! The Patriot Acts, Homeland Security and Operation Garden Plot were created to police U.S. citizens. We are fast losing our First Amendment rights.

  44. Maybe our problem is where our treasure is?

It was a number of years ago at our annual mission conference at our church. Wednesday night was our faith pledge night when we invited people to honor God beyond their tithe and offering, just to support missions for the next twelve month. Our Pastor was just starting to talk about faith in pledging, and down the middle aisle of the church walked a young man , and he had a hunting rifle in his hand. But he was walking down the aisle and he was crying. He came over and laid that hunting rifle on the altar, walked over to me and said "I haven't slept all night because the preacher talked about the 'treasures of your heart'. This gun has been a treasure to my heart and tonight I just want to lay it down and give it to the Lord. Let it be sold and the money go into missions or wherever you want to use it", and he just walked back to his seat. Well, I was dumbfounded. By the time he got back to his seat, another young man was walking down the aisle. I could hear him just kind of muttering, but I heard this - he said - " I've always wanted a gun like that, and I've got some money in savings,".. he got down there and said " I think I've got $400 in savings and I want to buy this gun, would you just put the $400 in missions? " I looked at him and said okay. He picked the gun up and looked at it and held it, I could tell he liked it. Then he turned and walked over to where the first young man was sitting, laid it in his lap, and turned and walked away.

When he laid it in his lap, God showed out.

We need a revival like that in the USA

  45. The Devil is on the prowl!

I don't condemn anyone, for that is not my place. God is the only Law Giver and Judge. I am simply taking a stand for the Word of God. I am a hell-deserving sinner as much as Billy graham or anyone else. I have nothing against Billy Graham personally. What I do expose is Billy Graham's ecumenical ministry of compromise, his unscriptural alliance with the Catholic Church and his apostate magazine ChristianityToday.

Billy graham has also been identified as a 33rd degree occult Freemason. Charles Taze Russell—founder of the Jehovah's Witnesses--was a 33rd Degree Freemason, as was Joseph Smith, founder of the Mormons. Jesse Jackson is a 33rd degree Freemason as well. Birds of a feather flock together! Did you know that Southern Baptist Convention church members compose 37% of the occult Freemasonry membership in the U.S.? That's apostasy!
