Re-Run: My Favorite Church Parody Video

I put this parody video up earlier this year, but wanted to post it again because it is so darn funny....and true...and extremely well done.

Love the quote before the offering: "...it's between you and God, but....we're tracking it."

And the pastor's many different speaking techniques - love it.

Enjoy, it is courtesy of Andy Stanley's church, Northpoint Community Church in Atlanta. Stanley and his bunch must have a very good sense of humor, willing to poke fun of themselves.

On TV last Sunday morning (8/22) Andy Stanley substituted for his father - his message was on GIVING your 10 percent and more to the local church.

Good public relation move - Charles Stanley used his son to send the message to his people & TV audience on the need for giving to support his ministry.

Churches like this "parody video" are indeed bringing in the younger generation that are leaving the institution of organized churches but with that said, from those I know, feel there is no need to become a member or financially give.

You bet, these churches are tracking the money. It's not coming in anymore. They lost a chunk when we left - we simply cannot justify giving to support a church any longer like FBCJ- they are top heavy with using the tithe to support the lifestyles of a part time millionaire pastor. God has been too good for us to misuse the monies He has blessed us with.

Andy Stanley DOES exactly what he is making fun of here.

they never see themselves.

BTW: Andy is a motivational speaker who proof texts when he actually uses scripture at all

Towns??? Good night!!! The one who does not think Caner did anything immoral? I pray we are nearing the last days.

"How Can It Be"

Caner will remain on the faculty teaching online classes but will not teach in a classroom this semester, school officials said. . . . 6,800 online students, Towns said.

These old men like Towns remind me of "The Firm" protecting individuals like Caner.

Elmer Towns of Theological leverage and lying is not a moral or ethical issue, fame?

Egads! Liberty has lost it. The faculty and leadership need an honor code with huge fines.

Liberty: You have NO moral or ethical credibility anymore.
