Detroit Church Holds "Brokeback" Ordination Service for Deacons, as Pastor Mounts Two Deacons in Front of Congregation

Once again, I have to say, "Now I've seen everything", when it comes to pastoral nonsense in the church.

We now have the first "Brokeback Mountain" deacon ordination service, where pastor Wayne Jackson lays two deacons on the floor at the front of the church, covers them both with a thin sheet, and then proceeds to mount them both and place his crotch area on their buttocks while he shakes and jiggles. If you think I'm exaggerating, slide to the 14:10 mark of the video below.

Good thing the pastor was wearing a large, loose robe. And how long before he ordains women deacons in this fashion?

All the while, the choir sings over and over and over again "I give myself away, I give myself away, so you can use me." Appropriate chant, as the two men indeed gave away their manhood and dignity, while the pastor was using them.

Not surprisingly, the congregation found this sordid act all very spiritual and moving as they swayed with hands raised high and singing the chant "I give myself away"...if only they all could be mounted by the pastor.

And this blogger spent 1000+ words analyzing the Bible to see if there was something wrong with this Brokeback Mountain ritual, and concludes:

"...Bishop Jackson was in error. The fact is that there is no history of this type of event among Christians."

Gee, you think? I thought maybe sometime in the past 2000 years there were pastors laying flat on top of grown men and gyrating. I'm glad the blogger cleared that up for us that the good bishop was "in error". I don't need to consult the bible to know better than to let a grown man lay on top of me - pastor or no pastor.

This is where fundamentalism is ultimately going: the pastor is the man of God, he is appointed by God into his position, and thus lay people just have to trust God that what the man of God is doing and saying is right and proper; even if the man of God is simulating masturbation in front of teens, mounting his deacons at their ordination, asking for church members' checking account numbers, or telling them that God might be prone to killing non-tithers.

At this point, anything goes. And as the sane people leave fundamentalism, a greater concentration of loonies will be left, and the pastoral behavior will be more and more off the charts as time goes by.

Can someone please explain this to me ? I have been in church my whole life and never seen such a thing. I don't understand this. When I was in junior high we had a term for this form of "safe-sex". I surprised one of those dopes didn't get up and punch the caped cornholer. I don't even think they do this in gay churches, not during the services.

Happy New Year Dr.Dog.
Have not been by for a while so checking in.
By now nothing these charlatans do should surprise anybody.

Wow. Never seen that in church before. I kept waiting for the big reveal at the end where we find that the 2 men had actually magically changed places under the sheets.

While, I cannot say for certain that this has never happened in a church service for 2000 years. I can say that what we consider that two men should not do together is largely a 20th century invention. I am not sure that homo-erotic tones were intended.

I think that the pastor left himself with few options. He wanted to embrace these men, but he already had them lying on the ground. Laying his body on top of them was probably the least potentially homo-erotic position he had.

As nutty as it was, I just kept thinking that it has got to be hot under that sheet. They were in suits near the hot lights under the sheets with a robe and then a man.

FBC Jax Watchdog said...

Hello Bro. Rod! Great to hear from you. Yes, "Worse and worse" indeed!

MM: you said "I am not sure that homo-erotic tones were intended."

That is an interesting question, what were the intentions of the pastor. Same with Schaap: did he intend to simulate masturbation?

My guess is both meth derived pleasure in simulating a sex act in front of the congregation, and being able to get away with it.

The better question is: what is in the minds of the people watching? Schaap's "trusted men" behind him with the white coats, what did they think? I have no doubt each one thought that their pastor was simulating masturbation, but no one dared stop it. Same for this pastor. These two men should have immediately pushed this man off of them. Why didn't they?

FBC Jax Watchdog said...

Readers - let's think about this a bit more deeply.

Can you think of a reason WHY this pastor would like - or why it might be to his benefit - to perform this bizarre ceremony on two grown men in an open ceremony viewed by the entire church?

Think about it. I figured it out...have you?

C. McGalla said...

how 'bout we don't think about it deeply and see it for what it really looks like

Julie Anne said...

Tom, I can't think of why and I don't want to know why, I just feel dirty after having posted the Schaap video and watched this bizarre shenanigans by this Man O'Gawd. Someone already left me a warning "Repent" on my blog, heaven forbid I expose a man-o-gawd's sin. But really, what's next? The only thing left is public sex, right? I was reading the Bishop's Facebook page and some dude by the name of Bill who presented himself as a leader defending the Bishop challenged people for questioning and judging and told people to not put God in a box, that God is bigger than the 66 books of the Bible and would allow this type of ordination. Oh puh-leaeze.

Here's the deal: if it is that good and right, then why are they deleting comments on FB and removing YouTube videos? One answer: damage control. What this so-called bishop did is WRONG.

You have a way with words. I'm going to add your link to my post - it's just THAT good - lol.

What the hell is wrong with these pastors. And who is this shill saying it was appropriate behavior. It's anything but!

He could have simply put his hands on their shoulders to ordain them.

People of God: Goofy, awkward and
not needed. There are other types of blessings/laying of of hands that could have been done. This was over the top and was something that Jesus would not have done in any ordination service.
This bishop needs to be rebuked.
Not a good scene!

Not just that, it's not even human. It's an ANIMAL's forced-dominance display, from behind doggie-style, with the Penetrated Omegas lying in submission beneath the Alpha Male Penetrator. NOT HUMAN. ANIMAL.

Dr. Dog,

I think you're reaching on this one. Look, this is a weird ceremony, no doubt! But I don't think it's homoerotic. I think a more charitable interpretation is that the ordaining pastor seems to be identifying with them in their death by laying on top of them (i.e. joining them in the grave). His shaking is clearly him crying.

He is running with Oral Roberts, what do you expect. When Jesus said that evil men and seducers would wax worse and worse, did you think He was talking about men outside of the harlot religious system? No, he was talking about the professional paid staff hirelings that claim to be shepherds. So, lets do the homework. In John 10 Jesus says HE IS THE GOOD SHEPHERD, and those that get paid are hirelings. Come out of the apostate religious system. Stop tithing to it, stop attending it, and expose it to the people in the city and town where you live.

This ceremony is the ordination of two men as bishops. I don't necessarily have a problem with ceremony, but THIS ceremony in particular, and especially for the purpose intended: it is an absolute farce in my opinion.
1Tim.3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1Tim.4:14; and 2Tim.1:6 - I believe that it's way past time for all of our spiritual leaders, (who have been chosen to serve God's people from such a privileged and humbling position,) it's time to go back to the Bible: preach it, teach it, believe it, and live it!

The eventual explanation, if they ever find the verses, will be that the Bishop was spiritually raising them from the dead to consecrate them for service.

They will say, Elijah did it in 1 Kings 17:21 and so did Elisha in 2 Kings 4:32. Everyone in the congregation will shout Amen! and the Bishop will continue his bizarre activity.

Just for the record, the Bishop is heterosexual, has been married for 30 years to Beverly and has nine children.

Tom - This is now the 3rd time I've replaced the direct or embedded link on my blog. They are on a witch hunt to hide the evidence in a mass damage control campaign. Fraidy cats - too afraid to fess up that they were wrong to do this crazy shenanigan in church.

You know, they have been deleting comments and videos for over 24 hours now. It would be so much easier to issue ONE public statement of apology/retraction and be done with it. But nooooooo - - - pride comes before the fall. Timberrrrrrrrr

When he ordains female deacons, does he do the same thing? He would be arrested for sexual assault! And if he does this is public, what the heck is he doing behind closed doors?

FBC Jax Watchdog said...

Anon - BINGO!

You are exactly right. If he is a pervert, doing such a ritual in front of everyone, opens the door for he or any other holy man of God in his church to do the same thing behind closed doors, to anyone of any age or any sex.

A pervert - not saying he is - but any pervert would stand to benefit from getting away with performing this gross act as a sacred religious ritual, by conditioning the others who might be victims in the future.

In the state of Florida, if a man took a minor and had them lay on the floor and he jumps on them and gyrates his hips, that very well could be considered sexual molestation under Florida law.

Victorious said...

My question is...how in the world can those watching not see this as questionable behavior? Is there no other more appropriate ceremony? Are the sheep being conditioned to accept more sexual behavior among their shepherds as normal?

There are 2 parts to this video. The bishop goes on to out do the Catholics with the ceremony. These guys wind up looking like Popes with all the vestments and trinkets bestowed on them. Its kinda like the ordination of Fred price a few years ago.

When they started donning those white sheets, I couldn't help but think this was reminiscent of something you'd see the Grand Wizard performing at a KKK rally. But then, I realized that wasn't so far fetched.

A commenter on one of the youtube manifestations of this viral video said it well:

This is a Masonic death ritual and has no place in the church. The men that endured this for positions are on their way to closing a blind eye to all kinds of non biblical things in the future. This is how the church has become so carnal and full of apostasy, because the "leaders" do things that are against scripture and men follow them for the sake of positions, titles, and the approval of others.

People are acting like a legion of devils against that Bishop They are accusing him right, and left of being sexual. That is a lie. People against that Bishop are not acting like Jesus. That is a serious consecration showing visually a living sacrafic. That red sheet represented the blood of Christ. Stop attacking that bishop. There is no fault in what he did. There is nothing bad in sex whatever name. Howbeit sex is not what you saw. Lay off of that person in the name of Jesus layoff of that bishop.

I agree, the pastor should lay off the deacons, and not hop on them and gyrate his hips on their buttocks during their ordination.

So "lay off" the deacons, Bishop!

If you are going to post what I say, at least post the whole thing IN CONTEXT....I wrote this:

"We need not invoke the Masons or some kind of secret rite or ritual to know that Bishop Jackson was in error. The fact is that there is no history of this type of event among Christians. It is not a Catholic ceremony as Catholics don't jump on people on the floor. Masons that have been consulted, don't find any resemblance to any ritual that they perform and Lord knows about Buddhism."

Now, I didn't deal with the homosexual aspects that you claim exist within this. If you are CONFIDENT, by suggesting that this bishop is a homosexual, then stand on your own to do it instead of looking for someone else to stand behind from which to throw stones. The only caution is that if, according to your methodology, men jumping on men are gay, then all football players, wrestlers, and a bunch of other athletes, for example, are gay as well. I know that is not the case. I have learned not to make rash and broad assumptions based on appearances, but since YOU are entitled to carry out and make your own opinion, simply do that.

Since the word of God is more accurate and and has more authoritativeness than any opinion, even yours, I chose to simply review his actions in accordance with the word and I find that he is in error. Is there a problem with that? Is he not in error? If it is sin, what sin did he commit? Name it. What we plainly see is that it is error because of some kind of deception, but I can't call it and I can see that you can't either.

One more word, so far as your assessment of Jackson is concerned, I think you do yourself well to know what slander and libel is and the implications of both as it pertains to blogging. That may save you some time and energy in the future and help you make sure that your assessments and conclusions are more artful and supportable when made.

Finally, I would suggest that if you have specific information regarding this man's lifestyle, and can support that with facts and not mere internet speculation and gossip, then place it out there for all of us in the peanut gallery to see.

Three boys are in the schoolyard bragging about their fathers. The first boy says, "My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a poem, they give him $50."

The second boy says, "That's nothing. My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a song, they give him $100."

The third boy says, "I got you both beat. My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a sermon. And it takes eight people to collect all the money!"

I've seen men tackle men in football, guard them in basketball, even grab them and wrestle them in a fair contest.

Never seen a grown man jump on the back of another man after he made him lay on the floor and covered him with a sheet, placing his crotch on their buttocks.

First time I've ever seen it. And I hope the last.

While many ordination services are highly unorthodox and certainly unScriptural, I am amazed at this one in particular.

I have puzzled over why such a perversion would take place in what those same men see as being the "House of God".

Nearest I can figure is they are taking an event out of the Old Testament and applying it to their ungodly ordination service. Notice:

1 Kings 17:21 And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again.
1 Kings 17:22 And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

Could it be that Jackson thinks he is imparting the Holy Spirit upon those he is laying on? or that he is imparting a clean soul on those obvioulsy misled men?

My guess is the above two verses are what he bases his practice on.... that, and unnatural desires.

Just my thoughts.
