The Watchdog Will Not Shut Down

The FBC Jax Watchdog Says:

I was going to phase this blog out.

But after I saw Mac's sermon Sunday night, telling his "churchmen and church ladies" that if they encounter someone that "robs their joy" (which is to say voices displeasure at something in the church), to SHUT EM DOWN....I determined at that point:

I will never, ever, shut this blog down.

Because Mac seeks to shut it down.

I will not shut it down.

Mac, Deb, Trey, and Maurilio, or the Trustees and other enablers, will have to get a court order to shut it down.Yes, a court order.

And if they do, it will pop up somewhere else. Plans are in place, it will pop up somewhere else.

Yes, it will.

[Stomp].

I will continue to point out the abuses of Mac Brunson in and out of the pulpit as I become aware of them. [Stomp]

Unrelenting.

Mac's arrogance has sealed his fate as it pertains to this blog.

He will have to deal with this blog as long as he continues his abuse.

And he has been relentless, for THREE YEARS...in being a bully, and behaving in ways contrarty to scripture and to his own Pastor's Guidebook...and I will not shut this blog down, since he seeks to shut it down.

Did you hear me?

Did I just say that?

You better believe I did.

This blog will not shut down.

If I croak, it will be passed on.

Word to the Trustees: if we hire a pastor who verbally abuses the congregation and acts like a bully and promotes himself and his family and his marketing consultant: SHUT HIM DOWN.

Pregnant Pause.

And the blog continues.

[Stomp] and [Chomp].

Praise Jesus for you Watchdog! I am the author of the February 20, 2009 3:13 PM post on the previous topic and I want you to know that like you, I will never stop doing all I can to hold these abusive charlatans accountable.

Hey, drummer, I mean, hey humble faithful pastor...you worried about any blog? No? I didn't think so? Only the sick, abusive charlatans are worried!

In my best pirate voice: "EXPOOOOOOSE 'EM" (Pregnant pause) "BLOG ABOUT 'EMMMM" (stomp)

Mac and Jim have to tell their sheep what to read, what to watch, what to wear and what to THINK. Otherwise they might start asking questions. And then they would have to "shut em down." Seems like their tactics are working. Except for you and however many other people who obviously have stopped giving enough that the committee and deacons think they must try and take action against a former member who has moved on to another church.

One day you will.

Go Dog!!! I don't care if you are the accused. There would be NO blog, if there were no abuse. Go Dog...can you here the applause?

GO DOG GO!!!

Dog - if they ever do "shut you down", I will be glad to set up blogs, web sites, and various other forms of media to continue your great work. It looks like as long as we have abusive pastors we will have bloggers to expose their abuses.

Glad to know you will not be intimidated by these self-appointed bullies. Debbie, Trey, family, deacons/trustees and staff are part and parcel to Mac's abuse and unchristian politics by allowing him to continue.

WD, thought of a great theme song for you.

"Glory Hallelujah, I shall not be moved, anchored in Jehovah, I shall not be moved, Just like a tree that's planted by the water, I shall not be moved".

Glory!

Just a polite suggestion... there's a little circle below the comment box where, if you don't want to register, you can check "Name/URL" and make up a unique name for yourself. Sure would be helpful to tell one anonymous from another. You could use names like "Anonymous 3:13." Just anything to tell you apart.

Keep the faith, Watchdog! I gotta hand it to y'all... Bellevue's Steve Gaines seems bush-league compared to Mac! {shakes head in disbelief} We feel your pain.

Watchdog, if you're not the one being removed from the church, then why so defensive all of a sudden?

FBC Jax Watchdog said...

Not defensive, just moving more on the offensive.

And I care about the accused, and I care about the church members that this action is designed to intimidate into silence, to fall in line with Brunson's agenda. He doesn't wish to pave a path for the church through love and servant leadership, he wishes to do it by brute force and intimidation.

As Mac moved on the offensive Sunday night, charging his church leaders to SHUT DOWN people who complain about things in the church and about the pastor...and as his minions at the same time now move to discipline the man they have fingered as the blogger...the Watchdog too will go more on the offensive. Just want Mac to know that he absolutely cannot bully his way into shutting down the blog. In fact, his bullying may just serve to have the opposite effect. The Watchdog is now more determined than ever to shine light on Mac's antics.

If Mac and Maurilio and the Discipline Committee convince the deacons that they have the right guy Monday night and the deacons vote down the accused, and they successfully get the church to vote on it too, it will have accomplished NOTHING other than to have caused more people to wonder what in the world is on the blog that Mac must shut it down.

Mac reminds me of the bully in "The Christmas Story" who stays after Ralphie and his buddies. Our church is like Ralphie...we have put up with the bully, trying to survive his anger, his beatings and heavy handedness. Like Ralphie, we have believed its just our destiny to be bullied, part of life and something we have to put up with, that we must bow to the bullies demands to survive. Like it did with Ralphie, eventually it will reach a boiling point where we will say NO MORE. And like most bullies, when their victims finally stand up to them, they run home to Mama.

So we'll see how it all plays out.

I haven't been posting much lately, because quite frankly you really say it all. I am glad to hear you are not shutting down. Do not let these corrupt men push you into submission. Keep fighting the good fight. You are speaking on behalf of a great "silent majority" and I hope that you never let them shut you up. God bless you Watchdog.

WD you sound like a 2 year old who did not get his way. You have said on one occasion you still go to FBCJAX then on another you do not makes one think the committee probably has the right cat. I learned something long ago most of the time it is the minority who makes the most noise cause they knoww they do not have the votes if they had the votes they would not have to make such noise

"After I SAW Mac's sermon...".. this wording sounds like you watched it online or on tape. Why do I get the feeling that you are the accused? all this inside info, defensiveness, etc. As a casual reader, I'll step outside the box.
